APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes from July 10, 2007 were approved as
read.
PRESENTATIONS: BOARD
& COMMITTEE REPORTS
Board of Supervisors: There was a public hearing on the text amendment to the Neighborhood Commercial zoning district. The Supervisors voted 3-2 to send it back to the Planning Commission.
Planning Commission: no report
Parks and Rec: Residents who live near Skyline Commons Park are still upset due to the cutting of a memorial tree
and the continued destruction of habitat. The dedication of Skyline will be in October of 2007. Mr. McGuire presented the research he did to prepare the informational kiosk. The EAC will survey the park for a possible
rain garden site on Friday, Aug. 24 at 7:00PM.

Township Parks landscaping details for entrances: tabled
Landscape Ordinance Update: Sections 195-122 & 124
Recycling Can Project: All the bids were submitted and Co-Star is the recommended provider, but the Township
Manager did not allocate funds for this and all 904 funds are being used. Presently, the Township gets less than
$10,00 for recycling, and when the $10,000 amount is reached, 904 funds must be used for recycling. This project
will be presented to the Supervisors so it may be included in the 2008 budget.
Manada Conservancy Fall Plant Sale will be Sept. 22 and EAC members are asked to present information on rain
Gardens from 11:00 – 1:00.
West Hanover Fall Festival will be Sept. 29 from 10:00 – 6:00. EAC members are asked to present a display of materials and projects.
Oak Slab Work- more steel banding was donated by Leezer Lumber for strapping the slabs.
Recent developments include the removal of the salt pile at Bradford Village, the filling in of wetlands at Hillcrest Rd. and Route 22, and noting that there is no E&S fencing at the Ricker Development (Devonshire and Oak Grove Roads) and that
recent rains washed out soil.

COMMENTS and/or OTHER BUSINESS
Carol would like to
attend the Chesapeake Watershed Forum in October as a representative of the
West Hanover EAC. The council agreed
that she should apply for support from the BOS.
