 BOARD & COMMITTEE REPORTS

Board of Supervisors - BOS discussed Adopt-a-Highway proposal at their June 11 workshop. Council members received the proposal, prepared by Mike Rimer with info coming from the Scout Troop proposing the project and various townships. Mike Rimer and Harold Harman designated 1-mile segments of township roads to be cleaned. Mike asked Council to review the proposal and get comments to him by June 28. The final proposal will be on the BOS agenda for July 2.

Planning Commision – Workshop is scheduled for June 13 on the Transportation Study. Bob L presented some changes to the BOS on the Landscape Ordinance regarding moving native plants list from the ordinance text to the index of the SALDO.

Parks and Rec – Final corrections have been made to the Rain Garden sign. Park and Rec Board have given their OK to produce the sign and install it at Fariville Park at the Rain Garden. Fast Signs will produce the sign. EAC will install sign in time for the Blooms n’ Butterflies program at the Rain Garden on July 21.

It was noted that clearing is taking place at Skyline Commons Park for the multi-purpose field. Concern was raised regarding lack of E&S fencing near the wetlands and wetland delineation flags since clearing had taken place right up to the wetlands. A small drainage easement was also filled in. Photos were shown of the current clearing. EAC is waiting to hear from Bob L on his thoughts on the progression of the work.
