APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes for April 10, 2007 were amended and
approved.
BOARD & COMMITTEE REPORTS
Board of Supervisors- The Board met on May 7 but there was no report.
Planning Commision – Two plans were tabled: The Summit Restaurant and Oak Grove Manor. The Summit Restaurant
issue is whether or not the storm water management plan is for the proposed development alone or for the entire site. The
plan for Oak Grove Manor was tabled at the developer’s request.
Parks and Rec- Carol updated the members on the rain garden plans. The original grant money for the Fairville Avenue Park was not awarded and the proposal will be resubmitted. If the grant is awarded, work may not begin until 2010.

DEVELOPMENT REVIEWS

Township Parks landscaping details for entrances: Tabled
Landscape Ordinance Update: Sections 195-122 & 124: Tabled
Tire Recycling Project – The results of the project show that 220 tires were turned in and $882.75 was collected to cover
costs. Future tire recycling was discussed.
Recycling Can Project – Two bids for new cans have been received and one more is pending. Action will be taken after the
bids are reviewed.
Fairville Rain Garden – Patti presented the proposed design for the 24” x 36” sign and she will submit it to Parks and Rec.
The cost is estimated to be $150.
Carol reported that the garden needs weeding and Joel McGuire reported that it looks good this spring. Carol will add
marking strips to identify the plants. The time for Butterflies and Blooms will be 9:30 on July 21.
Oil Spill –It was reported that more oil leaked at the March 23 spill site and more pads were added for containment.
Recycling Plant Tour – Four members of the Council will meet at 9:00 on May 18 to tour the recycling plan
PUBLIC COMMENTS and/or OTHER BUSINESS
Joel McGuire
presented to the Council a copy of the PA Stormwater Best Management Practices
Manual, which was
adopted in December of 2006. The manual provides guidance on procedures
for municipalities. He also discussed
permit procedures and practices with the Council.
The EAC website
needs work.
The oak slab project
is on hold.
Carol reported that
she is interested in entering the rain garden in WITF’s Central PA Magazine garden contest.
