CALL TO ORDER

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes from October 9, 2007 were approved as read.

 

PRESENTATIONS: BOARD & COMMITTEE REPORTS

Board of Supervisors:  no report

Planning Commission: The Transportation Plan update will be released Nov. 14 for public review. 

The preliminary  plans for Evergreen Ridge and Oak Grove Manor moved forward.

Parks and Rec:  The Skyline Commons Park was dedicated.  A temporary wetlands exhibit is on display in the kiosk.

Safety Advisory Board: no report

Township Manager:  no report

Zoning Officer:  no report

 

SUBDIVISION/LAND DEVELOPMENT REVIEWS

The committee reviewed plans:

#07.006 F/SB Roger and Alice Cackovic

#07.012 P/LD Harper Drive Sleep Inn

TOWNSHIP REQUESTED ACTIONS

              Township Parks landscaping details for entrances: tabled

              Landscape Ordinance Update: Sections 195-122 & 124: tabled

BUSINESS

2008 Budget- Patti discussed the 2008 budget with the Township Manager and she reviewed the changes with the EAC.

West Hanover Big Trees List – The PA Forestry Association website tracks big PA trees using several criteria.  Carol

suggested that West Hanover Twp. track big trees using the PA Forestry Association standards.  The  EAC sees value in educating the public about the trees and their value.

Recycle Bank Info Update – John M. and Patti attended a meeting in Lower Paxton Twp. on Oct.30 and reported on the

company’s objectives and operations.  The contract for recycling will be bid next year and no decision has been made about using RecyeleBank. 

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS ad/or OTHER BUSINESS

              The EAC will recycle Christmas trees on Jan. 5 and 12, 200 , 9:00 -12:00. 

              EAC members see a need to encourage residents to recycle effectively and the Council discussed possible future projects.
