CALL TO ORDER

IN ATTENDANCE

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes from September 11, 2007 were approved as read.

 

PRESENTATIONS: BOARD & COMMITTEE REPORTS

Board of Supervisors:  no report

Planning Commission:  The plans for the Harper Drive Sleep Inn, Evergreen Ridge, and Oak Grove Manor are on the

agenda for the next meeting.  Plans for Bella Vista, the Townes at Briar Creek, and the Cackovics were tabled.

Parks and Rec: No date has been set for the dedication of Skyline Commons.  The EAC has many appropriate posters to display in the kiosk until the permanent exhibit is ready.

Safety Advisory Board: no report

Township Manager:  no report

Zoning Officer:  no report

 

SUBDIVISION/LAND DEVELOPMENT REVIEWS

The committee reviewed plans:

#07.005 P/SB/LD Oak Grove Manor, Diocese of Harrisburg

#07.012 P/LD Harper Drive Sleep Inn

TOWNSHIP REQUESTED ACTIONS

              Township Parks landscaping details for entrances: tabled

              Landscape Ordinance Update: Sections 195-122 & 124

BUSINESS

Recycle Bank – Waste Management is looking at participating in the Recycle Bank, a company located in Philadelphia that would supply each home a container with a bar code.  The recycled material is weighed at the time of pick-up and the homeowner earns points towards rewards, such as coupons at local businesses.  The EAC members discussed the pros and cons of this plan.  A Township meeting to discuss the plan will be held either Oct. 23 or Oct. 30.

Oak Slab Work - The crimper is needed from Lezzer Lumber and sanding is needed.

2008 Budget- Audrey presented the proposed budget for next year and the Council members discussed each item.

Website- John Miele reviewed the EAC website and summarized his findings for the Council.

Nov. 8 Ag Security Areas Workshop -  Does any EAC member wish to attend?
