WEST HANOVER TOWNSHIP PARK AND RECREATION BOARD

I.               CALL TO ORDER:

The regular meeting of the West Hanover Township Park and Recreation Board was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by Chairman Stammel.

II.             PUBLIC COMMENTS

NONE

 

III.           PRESENTATIONS/REPORTS

Jeff Holt- Baseball President- Mr. Holt had no report. Mr. Holt asked the Park and Recreation Board if there were

going to be any big changes in 2006 that he needed to know about.

 

Park and Recreation Coordinator up-dated the Board on the Houck Memorial parking lot project, the Park Rule

sign project and the log cabin project.

 

Mr. Leonard request that the following changes be made to the project status report: add outcome of the election

under Township building concept, under capital projects- Fairville master site plan on 12-7-05 add the word

meeting after public, and Mr. Jacobs recommended removing completed projects and start fresh in 2006.

 

 

IV.        APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made by Mr. Jacobs, seconded by Mr. Leonard to approve the minutes of November 16, 2005, with the following corrections: under plans for review change $150,000 to $50,000 and change phase IO to phase I. The motion passed unanimously.  

 

 

V.          TREASURER REPORT

A. FILO Accounting Report and a Park Development Report- No changes since Novembers meeting.

 

 

VI.        PLANS FOR REVIEW

A Millstone Phase III- (northern addition, with 11 units) this plan is under the old ordinance $300 per lot.

B. Kohler/Fuler-A motion was made by Mr. stammel, second by Mr. Geppert to recommend waiving filo fees in exchange for full-time excess to the lane leading to the Township ball fields,otherwise the Board recommends collecting the filo fee

The motion passed unanimously.

 

 

 

VII.       OLD BUSINESS

A.    Fairville Master Site Plan/Eagle Scout Project- The P&R Board set a workshop for January 11, 2006 at 6:00pm to finalize the Master site plan. The Park & Rec. Board will be presenting the plan to the Board of Supervisors at their January 17 meeting for approval.

Eagle Scout is waiting for the weather to cooperate, so he can start digging.

B.    Update on Park and Rec. comp plan – At the December 4 Board of Supervisors meeting Mr. Millard had some questions and concerns about the plan, the supervisors tabled the plan.

C.    Skyline walking trail- the Township will receive the bid packet by the end of December, on January 17 the Board of Supervisors will be asked to approve advertising of the bid, the ad will run January 19 & 23, 2006, bid documents will be available at Township by January 23, 2006, open bids on February 15, 2006 at 9:00am and then at the Board of Supervisors meeting on February 21, recommend that the BOS award the bid.

 

 

VIII.     NEW BUSINESS

A Recreation/Community Building- where do we go from here? Park and Recreation Coordinator will touch base with the Hanoverdale Church again.

The monthly meeting of the Park and Recreation Board was adjourned at 8:50pm A motion was made by Mr. Leonard, seconded by Mr. Jacobs to Adjourn.    The motion passed unanimously.
