WEST HANOVER TOWNSHIP PARK AND RECREATION BOARD

I.               CALL TO ORDER:

The regular meeting of the West Hanover Township Park and Recreation Board was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Chairman Stammel.

III.        PRESENTATIONS/REPORTS

A. Baseball- No Report

 

B.  Ped Path- No Report, Mr. Geppert was not present

 

C.  Fall Fest- Park and Recreation Coordinator reported that the Fall Fest committee had a meeting on June 5th at 6:00 pm. We need volunteers. A packet will be presented to the Park and Recreation Board on the final planning of the Fall Fest at their next meeting. (July 19)

 

 

IV.        APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made by Mr. Jacobs, seconded by Ms. Young, to approve the minutes of May 17, 2006.  The motion passed unanimously.  

 

 

V.          Treasurer Report-The Filo and Park Development funds were reviewed by the Park and Recreation Board.

 

 

VI.        TOWNSHIP STAFF REPORT

Ms. Fesig reported on:

Bleachers- The Staff advertised to sell 18 sets of wooden bleachers, the Supervisors received (1) one bid for $400 for all 18. The Supervisors accepted that bid.

 

Movie program- I need (men) volunteers to help setup and tear down movie equipment every Tuesday night. The Park and Recreation Coordinator gave each Park and Recreation Board member a list of movies and asked them to sign-up a night to work.

 

Trashcans- The concrete trashcans for Fairville Park Have been ordered. This will complete our trashcan project.

 

Vandalism- Vandals are at it again or should I say yet. They graffiti playground equipment at Skyline Park.

 

Shed- The shed for up at the Recreation center has been ordered will be delivered July 25.

 

Mega Climbing Rock- The Mega Rock was delivered

 

Maintenance update- Pavilion & storage shed at Skyline Park is being re-painted, due to vandalism.

Houck Memorial Parking lot parking bumpers have been installed.

 

VII.       PLANS FOR REVIEW

              A. F/LD Towns @ Briar Creek

A Motion was made by Ms. Young, seconded by Mr. Jacobs, to recommend to the BOS fee-in-lieu, to be used for Fairville Park and Ped Path.. The motion passed unanimously.

 

B. F/LD/SB Lexington Woods- revised

A motion was made by Mr. Jacob, second by Ms. Young, to recommend to the BOS fee-in-lieu, to be used for Lenker Park and Ped Path. The motion passed unanimously.

 

VIII.     OLD BUSINESS

The Park and Recreation Board reviewed the project status report. No concerns.

Mr. Stammel asked if Mr. Way sprayed the infields at Houck Memorial & Houck Manor Parks.

The monthly meeting of the Park and Recreation Board was adjourned at 8:40 p.m. Mr. Jacob made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Leonard. The motion passed unanimously.
