WEST HANOVER TOWNSHIP PARK AND RECREATION BOARD

I.           CALL TO ORDER:

The regular Park & Recreation Board meeting opened at 7:00 by Mike Geppert Chairperson

II.         PUBLIC COMMENTS

Bill Koppenhaver who resides at 7743 Avondale Terrace. Mr. Koppenhaver stated he would like a letter from the Park and Recreation Board for Enclosure if he wants to sell his property. Park and Recreation Board denied Mr. Koppenhaver request.

 

 

III.     PRESENTATIONS/REPORTS

        A. Treasurer Report- the Park & Recreation Board reviewed the Filo and Park Development report                                     issued by the Secretary/Treasurer.

          B. Ped Path- No Report at this time

          C. Baseball Association- Report by Dave Eckley, president.   HAP Penn tournament opens Sat. 12:00 noon.                                      Request permission to park on teener outfield.  A motion to allow parking on teener field, grass area only was                                  made by Linda Turns, a second by Jean Sites.  The motion passed unanimously. Note:  Call Fred Way about                             cutting the grass and trimming weeds.

          D.Fest Fall- We need volunteers.

 

IV.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES

 A motion to approve the minutes of June 18, 2008 was made by Jeff Holt, a second by Mike Geppert.  Linda Turns sustained.

 

V.   TOWNSHIP STAFF REPORT     

A. Request a letter from the School District as to why the Township cannot use the facilities.

 

VI.    PLANS FOR REVIEW 

              None

 

VII. OLD BUSINESS  

A.  Project Status report- was reviewed by the Park & Recreation Board.

B.    Skyline Concession Stand

C.   Lenker Park Rollerblade Hockey Court-

D.    Municipal Park- suggest the Manager attend the August meeting

E.    Recreation Center/Building-

         F.  Houck Memorial Park walking path Project.

 

 

 

 

VIII. NEW BUSINESS

        Marc Tyndale contacted Mike Geppert about a Tennis Program presentation.

        Mr. Hefflenger resides at 7745 Avondale Terrace. Mr. Hefflinger stated he would hate to see all the trees cut          down on the tree line at Skyline Commons Park.

 

IX.     CORRESPONDENCE/OTHER BUSINESS

           A car and Bike Flier was included in the Park and Recreation packets.   Linda Turns volunteered to help     with this event. 

 

X.   ADJOURNMENT 

A motion to adjourn was made by Linda Turns, a second by Pat Cassel...  The motion passed unanimously.
