7. NEW BUSINESS
State Police Sgt. Mark Crosson. Mr.
Rimer opened the discussion about local policing issues and a request for
regular incident reports submitted to the PSAB and then to the
Supervisors. Sgt. Crosson presented
the AIMS (Automated Incident Memo System) reports for July, August, and the
beginning of September, 2007. The
Board asked for this information on a routine monthly basis in a summary
spreadsheet, column format by month.
There was considerable discussion of local policing, performance of
Troop H, and crime relating to the casinos. Sgt. Crosson reported there will be a
separate trooper unit stationed inside the casino in East Hanover
Township. There has been a small
amount of crime relating to the casinos in other areas of the state however
traffic will increase. He also
advised that statistics for Troop H can be found on the web site however Troop
H does serve 6 Townships so the statistics are for the entire area. He also reported officials are pleased
with the Central Dauphin High School Resource Officer. This position is staffed on a rotating
basis by 4 officers in addition to their regular duties and paid for by the
school district. Mr. Cassel advised
of speed problems on both Piketown Rd. and Sandy Hollow Rd., especially when
school lets out.

Board reviewed the Ordinance on Hazmat billing with the following changes
agreed upon:
